Starting with only five cars at one location back in 1966 Höldur ehf - Bílaleiga Akureyrar franchisee for Europcar car rental has built the largest car rental company in Iceland. Today our fleet counts more than 2000 vehicles and the number of rental locations has increased to 14.

Reliable and personal customer service, flexible agent network and a broad fleet of well maintained vehicles are all cornerstones in our operations. Thanks to our staff, an outstanding team of motivated car rental experts that work together like one big family. The word problem does not exist in our vocabulary, problems if they arise, which of course can happen when driving in Iceland, are to be solved. Good reputation is not something that can be bought and our best advertisement is the many satisfied customers through the decades who in many cases come to us again and again.

Renting one way is easy with this many rental locations to choose from around Iceland. Our biggest rental stations are in central Reykjavik and at the International Airport in Keflavík. but the head office of the company and reservations centre is in Akureyri which often is called the capital of the north.
